Synopsis of Venusomatic:

A completely reasonable plan to create a new world out of a worthless rock.

Harold MacAnish, a hopelessly generic but Gifted Ordinary Doctor, and George Stone, a minor league entrepreneur come up with the ultimate get rich quick scheme. Get NASA to convert the planet Venus into a real estate development. This all natural, holistic, organic plan would convert the atmosphere of Venus into one that would allow life, as we know it, to inhabit the surface without space suits or life support systems. The plan would transform a pristine but useless rock into a new and improved world.

Unfortunately for Dr. Harold MacAnish, just because something is completely reasonable doesn't mean it won't infuriate a lot of people. The lunatic fringe, from granola- sucking environmentalists to ultra-right wing conservatives, decide they have to preserve Venus in its original state. All change by definition is different, and therefore bad. Dr. McAnish unleashes environmental power to radically alter a natural environment and correct an evolutionary dead end. He ends up getting more than he asked for.

Venusomatic is a serious sci-fi social satire full of wild humor, action, sex and violence. The science is realistic and plausible and there are no leaps of faith or magical solutions. The BioAtmospheric plan is possible and the social reactions probable. It is pure entertainment with a hint of social commentary.
